My peaceful place.....

If you are just checking in on here today, I posted yesterday. Scroll down for my update.

Terri posted the other day about her peaceful setting and it made me want a peaceful setting. So I went in search for one(via internet). I decided I would share it with you also.

This one is my little place by the lake that I desire. I believe one day God will bless George and I with our own little piece-of-heaven-getaway at the lake/river. He loves to fish and I love to be out in the woods with the quietness of God's creation. That really is the best medicine for me no matter what I am going through.

Psalms 65:88
Those living far away fear your wonders
where morning dawns and evening fades
you call forth songs of joy.

Looking at this makes me think of trials I have gone through. At the hardest time I am right on the verge of seeing the most beautiful open water. So free and peaceful. If I would just take those last few tough steps through the bundle of trees. You can't give up right at the end! You gotta keep walking through!

Psalms 5:33
In the morning, O LORD
you hear my voice
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.

Then this is the happy place. Notice there are tables and chairs. A place to sit and be refreshed and renewed, in spirit and body. And by that I mean, I could sit and read the word and enjoy the quiet there.

Psalms 143:88
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go
for to you I lift up my soul.

I love to sit outside early in the morning when the wind is blowing and the world is waking up. It really is when I feel the most peaceful and expectant of what God can do!

Today I have shared a little piece of myself with you. Do any of you have something that really makes you see things clearly or that gives you great peace? Please share with me and maybe we can all go away with a new outlook on more things we can do to enjoy God and His greatness.

So my words of wisdom for today are:
Find time to sit outside early in the morning this spring/summer and maybe watch a sunrise. If you have never done that, you HAVE to do it! It is a feeling I can't explain. And if you are not a morning person, you will have to look for the greatness in it and ask God to speak to your heart in that moment to truly enjoy it. It really is worth getting up early for!

(((Michelle))), I'm sorry about George getting laid off. I'll be praying for your circumstances and that you can have peace in the midst of the storm.

I love the picture of the woods and the lake. I would love to live by the water at some point. It's my favorite type of vacation.

Praying for you today!

Terri
