Hello everyone! I hope you all had a GREAT Thanksgiving. Christmas is sneaking up on us and I just wanted to remind us all to ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS! Let's not get too stressed out & forget what the holidays are all about!

Giving Thanks

This is Thanksgiving week. This will be our family's first Thanksgiving without my step-dad, Kenny. My children's paw-paw. He had been in our lives for about 22 years and I love him like a father.
One thing I have realized is that each moment in life is what I make it. I heard a saying the other day "Don't wait for the perfect moment in life, Make the moment perfect." I want to live this way.
My children are making memories everyday. Last Thanksgiving and Christmas was their last one with their paw-paw and we had no clue. Thankfully we have great memories with him and we will never forget them!
So my challenge to myself and hopefully you all will take this challenge on also, is to make every moment perfect. We don't know if this is our last holiday with our families. So I am gonna live every day like it is my last and TOTALLY enjoy my children and husband! I don't want to waste another minute!
Some ways that you can have special moments with your children is to have a candle light meal with them. Make them some hot chocolate while you drink your coffee & focus on them only while you drink your hot treat. Make cookies & let them help. Cuddle up & read to them for at least 30 minutes. Go outside & gather treasures(leaves,rocks,pinecones.....) and bring them inside & talk about them. Sit down & color with them. Spread a blanket out on the floor & have a pic-nic. Plan a movie night with them. Just be creative & make it all about them & it will be a special moment no matter what you do!

A letter from our Daddy........

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share a little letter that had been given to me some time ago. Hope it blesses you!

My dear Daughter,
You are My beloved. The apple of My eye. You were created for My pleasure and I knew you before your birth. You are a child with purpose. You do not walk aimlessly about, your steps are ordered by Me. You labor along side Me. Through you I desire to touch others. You are salt and light. I sing over you. You are engraved on the palm of My hand and I will never forget you. No, I never will! I love you with an everlasting love. I long for intimacy with you. I want us to be close. I love it when you talk with Me-when you choose Me above all others. No other voice sounds like yours. When you worship I take notice. I look for ways to bless you. As you draw near, My face turns to you. I want to protect, comfort & guide you. You love My word and delight in My laws. Therefore, you will be kept. You declare according to my word and it will be done. You seek wisdom and are filled. You cannot grasp the depth of My love for you. You do not fully understand the song I sing over you. In My eyes no one can take your place. You are unique and special. A Masterpiece! You are priceless to Me!!!

Our Homes

Good morning all! I am soooo thankful for a new day! My intention was to post on here early this morning and then the chaos began!LOL
Which brings me to my thoughts for today. I walk through my home some days and wonder "How did things get so crazy?!" As I was pondering on that this morning the Lord gently reminded me that there are things I have learned along the way that help my home run smoothly that I had not done for today.
Examples: #1.When I get up before my children and spend time with God praying or doing my devotion for the day in the quiet of my home, things just tend to run more smoothly. Well, today I woke at 7:30 and my 2 older kids were already up watching TV. Therefore they were already ready for breakfast before I woke up and I had to scramble to get their breakfast while being half asleep.
#2. My children get cranky when they get hungry, but I still lose track of time and wait until they have reached cranky mode to get them a snack or meals.
#3. When I spend too much time on the phone my children get out of hand! And when I say too much time I mean in the span from 8AM to 10AM I was on the phone with 12 yes twelve phone calls!!! And that is the calls that came into my phone, not counting the calls that I was making!
So my point from all of that craziness is that we as moms/wives set the tone in our homes. Our homes can either be peaceful or full of chaos. God has blessed us to know what our husbands and children need to help them be happy from day to day. And it is our jobs to make that happen. At times I want to ask God "What about my needs?!" And then I realize that if I focus on making my home peaceful and a place where my family can come to to get rest in times of chaos in their lives, I will in turn have a peaceful life from day to day. And that if I meet the needs of those around me that God will allow my needs to be met. And I just want to say that I have tried this method and it is true! There are times that I get my focus off and don't follow this advice and that is when the chaos begins to move in.
So today look for a need to meet. Try God on this one and see what He will do!

Hello everyone! My name is Michelle Bingham. I am a homeschool mom of 3 little ones and it has been on my heart for some time to do some type of devotions for other moms-homeschool or not, or moms to be. So a friend of mine encouraged me to make this blog and I thought it was a great idea. I hope that when you log on here you will leave with a feeling of encouragement and a new look on your day!
I have a passion for organizing things. I have helped a few people organize their homes and take control of their space that God has given them. I love to walk into a disaster of a room and walk away having made it clean and peaceful!
I struggle with things each and every day. From sick children to everything I touch going wrong! But at the end of the day I know that nothing can happen in my day to separate me from the love of God! That is a promise that I can stand on no matter what happens.
