2009....

WOW! It is 2009!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am excited about the new year. My oldest, Jacob, will turn 10 this year and grow closer to being a teenager. My little princess, Amber, will turn 5 this year and start school officially. And I believe in faith that my little Nathan, who will be 3 this year, will be totally potty trained by the end of the year! It will be a busy year at the Bingham house.

In 2 days George and I will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. I look back on the last 12 years and I am in awe of everything God has done for us. My life is nothing like I had expected it to be 12 years ago. It is WAY better!!!!!

Well, I am off to make breakfast for my clan. Hope you have a great first day of 2009!!!

New Year Resolution....

My only New Year's Resolution this year is to read my Bible all the way through for the first time. I have tried so many times before and never made it through the whole Bible. I have found a really cool blog to help me with this though. It is the One Year Bible Blog. It gives you something from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. I am really excited about this! Go and check it out here if you are interested in doing this too.

I am also gonna try to be healthy and lose weight but that is an ongoing thing that I am making a life change and not a yearly change anymore. So Happy New Year to you all and I pray that you have a great one!

Our Family Christmas

Hello all!

I have wanted to post for a while but just now had time. We had a great Christmas and I hope you all did too. I have to admit though that it hasn't felt like Christmas. Today it is really warm here. I have my windows open. Maybe we will get some snow sometime.
We went to my dad's house for Christmas Eve and had a great time with family. We don't get together much with my dad and step-mom and when we do we really enjoy it. The kids had so much fun with their cousins. Then we came home that night and the kids opened the gifts from me and George. After that we sprinkled our Reindeer food on the yard(thanks JoAnna!) set the cookies out for Santa and tucked the kids into bed.

Then Christmas morning we got up around 7:30 and opened gifts from Santa. I made cinnamon rolls and sausage & biscuits for breakfast. And after that we just had a lazy day.

Now I will post some pictures for your viewing enjoyment!

It has been a while....

I haven't posted in FOREVER!!! Sorry.

The holidays bring business. And this weekend is no different. Tonight our neighbors are coming over and having dinner with us and they have gifts for the kids. They are a young newly married couple that don't have children yet and we have adopted as family. They love our kids and our kids love them. It is great to be blessed with such great friends. So I will be cleaning the house and making it guest ready. :0)

Then tomorrow I have to be at my church at 9 AM for dress rehearsal for the Christmas musical I am singing in. I am in the choir and we had to learn 11 songs, it has kept me busy. That will probably last until 12 or so.

And then Sunday we are singing in the morning service and the musical is Sunday night. I am so excited!

In the mix of all this my hubby is working 12 hours today and tomorrow. He is usually off on Fridays so this is not the norm for us.

I have also been doing crafts and fun holiday stuff with my kiddos. I am ready for Christmas to be here so my hubby can be off work and we can spend some good time together as a family. Enjoying what the holidays are really about and being able to reflect on God.

Well, I hope you all have a blessed weekend and maybe I will get to post again before Christmas........ ;0)

Family Thanksgiving....

Well, I made it through another Thanksgiving and Black Friday. This post is a little long and full of pictures!

We had an amazing dinner yesterday at my brother's house. It was his family, my family and our mom. In all we had 13 people to feed. Every year we say that we are gonna make a small meal. Well, once again, that didn't happen. Here is the list of all that we had.

*Turkey
*Ham
*Chicken & Dressing
*Mashed Potatoes
*Hash Brown Casserole
*Homemade Mac & Cheese
*Sweet Potato Casserole
*Corn on the Cobb
*Green Beans
*Cranberry Sauce
*Rolls
*Stuffed Eggs
*2 Pumpkin Pies
*3 Pecan Pies
*2 Chess Pies
*2 Chocolate Chess Pies
*White Cake with Chocolate Frosting
*Fruit Salad

I have to say here that we had TONS of leftovers! There were things that didn't even get a spoon stuck in them. So we have lots of food that we brought home and that means that I don't have to cook for a couple of days!

;0)

After we ate, all 5 of the adults and my niece Kassie played cards. We got there around 11 that morning and just had a calm day enjoying each other. It was great! I hated that it had to end.

Then this morning my mom, my niece Kassie and I all went shopping. It was so much fun! We got up at 3:45 and were at Wal-Mart by 5 AM. I do this every year. I have had lots of different people to go with me. I am sure that Kassie will continue to go every year though. She loved it! After we shopped, we went to breakfast and then took her home. Mom and I were home by 10 or so and when Nathan took a nap, so did I. Now I am rested and ready to face the rest of the weekend.
George and my brother Daniel have gone fishing all day, which is something they try to do every year also. And tomorrow will be the day we put our Christmas Tree up. I am so excited about that because I have almost finished all of my Christmas shopping and will have some gifts to put under the tree! That usually doesn't happen until almost Christmas.

I want to share some pictures from our family's Thanksgiving Day with you. Hope yours was as happy as ours!
