Too cute!

Even though I homeschool this was too cute not to share. I got it in an e-mail.

I hope you enjoy it too.

A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him.
She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her.
She said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it woulde a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed.
The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor girl he knew.
She did this for the whole week. As the two walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally she said to Timmy, 'Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?
'Timmy nonchalantly replied, 'Yeah, I know who she is.'The little girl; said, 'Well, who is she?
''That's just Shirley Goodnest,' Timmy replied,' and her daughter Marcy.
''Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us?
''Well,' Timmy explained, 'every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, 'Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my life',
so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!'

Had to share this one!

I Am An Espresso

At your best, you are: straight shooting, ambitious, and energetic

At your worst, you are: anxious and high strung

You drink coffee when: anytime you're not sleeping

Your caffeine addiction level: high

What Kind Of Coffee Are You?

OK, I am not sure this is totally right. The at your worst part is TOTALLY right! LOL I usually only drink one cup of coffee a day and it is FULL of French Vanilla Creamer. And I am not highly addicted to caffeine, just a little.

Curious George

And I am talking about the monkey, not my husband! LOL

The children and I went today to see Curious George at the library and it was too cute! Nathan looks a little weepy in the picture but he really liked him and hugged him. I was a little unsure how Amber would do. The other night we ewre watching America's Funniest Home Video's and the Disney characters were on there. She seemed really scared of Goofy. But she really liked the monkey today. And Jacob is almost 9 so I think he enjoyed it but he thinks he is getting a little old for it all. And I am pretty pleased with how I look here for a Wednesday morning without make-up on. ;0)

Well, here is a picture. Enjoy!

To all my "normal" friends, you know who you are!!

Kids, DON"T TRY ANY OF THIS AT HOME!!!!!!! (wait until you go to a friends house!)

1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly be removed.

2. Avoid cutting yourself slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop.

3. For high blood pressure sufferers, simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins.
Remember to use a timer.

4. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

5. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. You will then be afraid to cough.

6. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape!

7. Remember! Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

"I've Been Tagged!"

I was tagged by my good friend, Joanna.

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.

B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.

C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago:
I was 21 years old, I had just had my first wedding anniversary and I had no children yet. I worked at Target full time and had a Dalmation dog named Max.

Things on my to-do list today:
Went to church, started on laundry so I would have a head start tomorrow and finish cleaning my kitchen.

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
I would pay for a new building for my church, buy a home in the country, buy a van or SUV, buy George a new Bass boat, pay this house off and let a struggling family live here until they get on their feet, college money for my children, buy or start a cool business for me and George to run so he can quit his job.

Three of my bad habits:
1.eating too many sweets
2.having the need to be organized in EVERYTHING
3.biting my finger nails

Three places I have lived:
1.Humboldt, TN
2. Milan, Tn
3. California

Five jobs that I have had:
1. Cashier at Piggly Wiggly
2. cashier at Target
3. daycare teacher
4. supervisor at Target and
5. a homeschool mom(best job yet!)

Five Things people don't know about me:
1. Even though I am very organized my closets and cabinets are usually pretty messy.
2. I like to eat ketchup on scrambled eggs.
3. I can take a shower, put my make-up on, fix my hair, get dressed and be ready to leave the house in 30 minutes, if I try really hard!
4. I have to wash my hair every day(crazy I know!)
5. My favorite candy is Laffy Taffy.

I would like to tag:
Aprille-my great friend since high school
Misty-my great friend & pastor's wife
Terri-my great friend I met on a message board
This was SO FUN!

My words of wisdom for today are:
Do something fun!!!
