birthdays......

The month of June is full of birthdays in my family.

Tonight we went to my nephews party who turns 6 tomorrow. It was the best time! My sister-in-law had a scavenger hunt and tug of war and paper airplane races and foot races and LOTS of food! I have to say it was the best party for a child I have ever been to. The adults were just as involved as the kids. That made it more fun I think. My Jacob, who is almost 9, said that it was the best time when we left. Coming from him, that is saying a lot for a 6 year olds party! Usually he is bored and thinks it is more for "little" kids.

Other than that today has been a very lazy day. We hardly ever have lazy days around here. We all just stayed in our P.J.'s and watched T.V. and napped. It was nice.

I did organize some pictures and finished my Christmas scrapbook my crafty friend JoAnna gave me. So it wasn't a total loss! LOL

So my words of wisdom for you today are:
Have a lazy day with your children. I think it is important to have a lazy day every now and then. Our children need to know that life doesn't always have to be so busy. Watch movies in your P.J.'s and nap and just enjoy each other in quiet!

I agree Michelle! It's lovely to just cuddle up on the sofa and watch a movie or something...so relaxing and easygoing...no need to clock-watch or rush anywhere...ah, bliss!

Love, Tina :)

Wow! I so wish we could have been at the party, I know the kids would have had a great time. They had a fun time at their grandparents' house too, and I know they wouldn't have wanted to miss that either. I'm not going to tell them about the birthday party or they will probably whine! Did you tell D&T why we couldn't be there?
