It seems that I am seeing storms more and more in the lives of those I love. It is very hard because I am a fixer. I see those around me hurting and I want to make it all better. As this happens, I am learning that it isn't my job to be "the fixer". That is God's job.
Psalm 107: 28 and 29
“Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
He calmed the storm to a whisper
and stilled the waves.
He calmed the storm to a whisper
and stilled the waves.
We have got to get to the place that when the storms come we cry out to God! He desires to help us and to calm our storms. The problem comes when we try to fix it without asking for God's help first though.
In the midst of our storms, when we ask for God's help first, we can have total peace while the storm rages around us. And then God will calm the storm right before our eyes. I am learning a little each day that as I allow God to calm my storms it makes things so much easier!!!
